AquaSys 180 is an excellent water-soluble support material designed for high-temperature thermoplastics. It simplifies post-processing by allowing the support structures to dissolve in warm tap water, making it ideal for materials like PEEK, PEKK, and Ultem. Additionally, it works well with standard printing materials such as PLA, ABS, PC, PP, and PVDF.
For users who do not require high-temperature plastics but still want water-soluble support, AquaSys 120 is recommended for standard-heat thermoplastics.
AquaSys 180 degrades rapidly in natural environments. It contains 20% of its weight in an inert, nonhazardous, non-biodegradable component that should be collected and disposed of after dissolution.
Keep the filament below 80°C before extrusion. Material that sits idle at temperatures of 80°C or above for extended periods of time prior to extrusion will not extrude properly.
AquaSys 180 is favored by 3D printing experts for its efficiency in support structure removal. It leaves a smooth finish without post-processing marks and stubs, ensuring the quality of the printed part.
Proper drying is crucial for extending the life and use of AquaSys 180 filament.
We offer a full drying kit that we use in our shop, including vacuum chambers and ovens. This kit ensures you can dry your filament as effectively as we do. Check it out on our website.
