CarbonX Carbon-Fiber Reinforced Polycarbonate Filament, or CF-PC, is a top-tier carbon-filled 3D printing material. It offers superior structural integrity, high heat resistance, and excellent surface quality.
The addition of carbon fiber enhances the flexural and tensile strengths of polycarbonate, making it more rigid. The base properties of polycarbonate filaments, without carbon fiber, are:
Tensile Strength: 95 MPa
Tensile Elongation: 60% at break
Tensile Modulus: 320 MPa
Flexural Strength: 15 MPa
While specific measurements for CarbonX CF-PC are not readily available, the carbon fiber content is expected to improve these base values significantly.
Proper drying extends the life and usability of your filament.
Drying Frequency: Every time you print or if the filament has been exposed to air for more than 10 minutes.
Drying Temperature: 120°C.
Drying Duration: 4-12 hours.
Note: CF-PC filament absorbs moisture quickly, which can cause steam formation during printing and result in poor print quality and mechanical properties. Always dry the filament before use to ensure optimal performance. Consider using our full drying kit, available on our website, to maintain your filament in peak condition.
