¶ Warnings and Precautions
Read the Manual Thoroughly:
- Users must read and understand this manual completely before operating the Vision Miner 3D printer.
Operate in a Safe Environment:
Ensure the printer is operated in a well-ventilated, clean, and dry environment. Keep flammable materials away from the printer.
Supervision Required:
- Do not leave the printer unattended during operation. Always supervise the printing process to promptly address any issues that may arise.
Electrical Safety:
- Only use the power cord and adapter provided with the printer. Ensure the power supply voltage matches the voltage required by the printer.
- Do not operate the printer with a damaged power cord or adapter. If the power cord or adapter is damaged, replace it immediately to avoid the risk of electric shock or fire.
- The high voltage sign indicates the presence of high voltages. Always stay away from any exposed electrical circuitry. It is recommended that all jewelry be removed.
Fire Safety:
- Ensure there is a fire extinguisher nearby and that you are familiar with its operation.
- Do not operate the printer near flammable liquids, gases, or other combustible materials.
Thermal Safety:
- Parts of the printer, including the nozzle and build plate, can become extremely hot during operation. Avoid direct contact to prevent burns.
- Allow the printer to cool down completely before performing any maintenance or adjustments.
- The hot surface sign indicates the presence of devices with high temperatures. Always use extra care when working around heated components. Always wear the safety gloves and safety sleeves provided in the Vision Miner Startup Kit.
¶ Material Handling
Filament Safety:
- Some filaments may emit fumes that could be harmful if inhaled. Operate the printer in a well-ventilated area and consider using an air filtration system if printing with materials known to release harmful fumes.
Chemical Safety:
- Certain materials may require specific handling procedures. Always refer to the manufacturer's safety data sheet (SDS) for each material and follow recommended handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
Pre-Operation Check:
- Inspect the printer and its components before each use. Do not operate the printer if any parts are damaged or worn out. Replace any damaged or worn parts immediately.
Modifications:
- Do not modify the printer in any way. Unauthorized modifications can compromise safety and void the warranty.
Proper Use:
- Use the printer only for its intended purpose. Vision Miner is not responsible for any injuries or damages resulting from the misuse of the printer.
- The Vision Miner 22 IDEX is designed for specific printing materials. Using unsupported materials can cause damage to the printer and pose safety risks. Refer to the user manual for a list of compatible materials.
Shutdown Procedure:
- Turn off and unplug the printer after each use. Allow all components to cool down before performing any maintenance.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Regularly clean and maintain the printer according to the guidelines provided in this manual. Use only approved cleaning agents and tools.
- Only qualified personnel should perform maintenance and repairs. Unauthorized repairs or modifications can lead to safety hazards and void the warranty. Use only Vision Miner-approved parts and accessories.
- Personal Injury: The personal injury sign indicates mechanical parts, and severe personal injury is possible. Always use extra care. Do not wear ties, loose clothing, or dangling jewelry. Keep long hair tied up and away from any moving parts.
- Sharp Object: The sharp object sign indicates the presence of sharp objects. Do not touch sharp objects as they may cause a loss of body parts.
- Crushed Hand: The crushed hand sign indicates that a crushing hazard exists between two objects.
- Do Not Enter Oven: This sign warns you to never enter the oven with your entire body.
- ESD: Use standard electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions when working on or near electrical circuits.
- Moving Parts: The Vision Miner 22 IDEX contains moving parts that can cause injury. Keep hands, hair, and loose clothing away from the printer while it is in operation.
- Children and Pets: Keep the printer out of reach of children and pets. The printer contains small parts and can reach high temperatures, posing risks of choking, burns, and other injuries.
Warranty and Liability:
- Vision Miner is not liable for any damages or injuries resulting from the improper use of the printer, failure to follow safety instructions, or unauthorized modifications.
- The user assumes all responsibility for any risks associated with the use of the printer.
- Under no circumstances shall Vision Miner be liable for any incidental, indirect, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including, without limitation, loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, incurred by you or any third party, whether in an action in contract or tort, arising from your access to, or use of, our products or services.
Compliance:
- Users are responsible for ensuring that the operation of the printer complies with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- You agree to comply with all applicable laws, statutes, regulations, and ordinances concerning your use of our products and services.
- It is the user's responsibility to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding use and disposal of the system and materials.
Intellectual Property:
- Ensure that all printed objects comply with intellectual property laws. Vision Miner is not responsible for any violations of intellectual property rights resulting from the use of the printer.
Governing Law:
- This agreement and any disputes arising out of or in connection with it shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Vision Miner is headquartered, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Indemnification:
- You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Vision Miner, its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against all claims, losses, expenses, damages, and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, resulting from any violation of these terms and conditions or any activity related to the use of our products and services.
Updates:
- Vision Miner reserves the right to make changes to the system and documentation without notice.
Accuracy Disclaimer:
- Vision Miner is not responsible for errors or omissions in the manual.
Vision Miner shall not be liable for errors contained herein or for incidental or consequential damages in connection with the furnishing, performance, or use of this material. Vision Miner makes no warranty of any kind with regard to this material, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. It is the responsibility of the system owner/material buyer to determine that Vision Miner material is safe, lawful, and technically suitable for the intended application as well as identify the proper disposal (or recycling) method consistent with local environmental regulations. Except as provided in Vision Miner's standard conditions of sale, Vision Miner shall not be responsible for any loss resulting from any use of its products described herein.
