Slicer Profile Updates

This page is your overview of every update to the Vision Miner PrusaSlicer profile library. Here you can see, at a glance, what's new in each release, what got better, which printers, print types, and materials are now available, and whether it's worth updating. The newest release is always at the top, and we add to this page with every new release.

5.0.x (June 2026)

A major update to the 22 IDEX profile library. Installs in PrusaSlicer as build 5.0.1.

The short version

Every print type now exists for every nozzle it makes sense on, so there's always a ready-made profile instead of hand-editing settings. Three brand-new print types were added, filaments were renamed and re-tuned, and the whole library now installs itself through the Configuration Wizard.

What got better

  • Installation is automatic. You load one archive and the Configuration Wizard installs all printers, profiles, filaments, build-plate models, and the machine photo for you. No more manual setup.
  • Four nozzle sizes (0.2 / 0.4 / 0.6 / 0.8 mm). Each nozzle has its own correctly tuned layer heights, line widths, and flow limits - a bigger nozzle prints faster and stronger, a smaller one prints finer detail.
  • A ready-made profile for every goal. Pick the print type that matches what you want, then use whatever nozzle is loaded - no more editing settings by hand.
  • Cleaner, consistent filament names (<Material> - <Supplier>, e.g. PEEK ‑ 3DXTech) and re-tuned material data: accurate densities, realistic colors, and corrected flow.
  • Safer high-temp printing. Chamber-heated materials now wait for a sane chamber temperature before starting, cooling was re-tuned per material, and pressure advance is set automatically per nozzle and per toolhead.
  • Built-in PrusaSlicer template filaments are hidden while a 22 IDEX printer is active, so your filament list stays clean.

Each type is the same idea tuned across its nozzles. Pick the type that matches your goal:

TypeUse it when you want…
StandardA balanced, reliable everyday print (your default)
DetailSmoother surfaces and fine features
SpeedA usable part, sooner
DraftThe fastest rough prototype
High TempEngineering polymers that tend to warp (PEEK, PEI/Ultem, PEKK, PPS, PPSU…)
Flex (TPU) (new)To print soft TPU cleanly
Multi Material (new)Two materials or colors in one part
Soluble / Breakaway Support (new)Clean, removable supports on the second toolhead

Mirror and Duplicate modes also add a Raft version of most types for better first-layer adhesion across the split bed.

Materials

The library only shows materials that are valid for the print type you've selected, so you can't accidentally pair, say, PLA with a PEEK profile.

GroupMaterials
Low–mid temperaturePLA, PETG, PCTG, ABS/ASA (+CF), PC, PC-ABS, PP (+CF), Nylon PA6/PA12 (+CF), PPA+CF, Obsidian
High temperaturePEEK (+CF/GF), PEI 1010 / 9085 (+CF/GF), PEKK-A (+CF), PAEK, PPS (+CF), PPSU, PSU
FlexibleTPU (85A)
Support – soluble (wash off in water)AquaSys 120, Xioneer VXL 150, PVA
Support – breakaway (snap off by hand)HIPS, HTS1 / HTS2

New in 5.0.x: ABS/ASA-CF (split from ABS/ASA), Obsidian, PEKK-A+CF15, PPS+CF10, Xioneer VXL 150 soluble support, and HIPS breakaway support.

Found a problem in a profile? Please contact our support team and quote the exact profile and material names where you found it (for example High Temp H0.20 N0.40 + PEEK ‑ 3DXTech) so we can pinpoint it - the new naming makes the profile easy to identify.
