110V to 220V Conversion
Convert the 22 IDEX V4 from 110V to 220V — replace the bed and chamber heaters, flip the 24V PSU selector to 230, then verify both heaters reach target.
This guide covers converting the Vision Miner 22IDEX V4 from a 110V mains supply to 220V. The conversion comes down to three things:
- Replace the bed heater - either swap the heater inside the bed or replace the bed as a complete assembly.
- Replace the chamber heater - the heater element inside the chamber heater assembly is replaced.
- Flip the voltage selector on the 24V PSU - a toggle switch on the side of the power supply, marked 115 and 230.
Whether you get the bare heaters or complete assemblies depends on the parts available - agree on the exact set with our support team before ordering.

Do not power the printer from 220V before finishing the conversion
The stock 110V heaters and the PSU switch position are not rated for a 220V supply. Complete every step of this guide - both heaters and the PSU switch - before plugging the printer into a 220V outlet.
Tools and Materials
- 220V chamber heater (see Chamber Heater - confirm the 220V version with support)
- 220V bed heater or complete bed assembly (see Build Plate Heater - confirm the 220V version with support)
- PH2 Phillips screwdriver (relay and distribution block terminals)
- PH1 Phillips screwdriver (chamber heater temperature sensor screw)
- 2 mm hex key (bed assembly screws)
- 2.5 mm hex key (cover and channel screws)
- 5.5 mm wrench (bed assembly nuts)
- Flush cutters and spare zip ties (cable routing)
- Permanent marker and a phone or camera (to document the wiring)
Preparation
- Power off. Turn the printer off and unplug the power cord. Wait at least 60 seconds for the capacitors to discharge.
- Let the heaters cool. If the printer was heating recently, wait until the chamber heater and the bed are cool to the touch.
Replacing the Chamber Heater
- Remove the stainless steel cover. Inside the chamber, unscrew the four screws holding the stainless steel heater cover and take it off. Behind it is the heater assembly: the bracket, the fan, and the heater itself.
- Disconnect the heater wires at the rear. Open the rear electronics bay and find the two chamber heater wires. Photograph and label them first, then disconnect:
- one wire from the chamber heater relay - PH2 screwdriver;
- the other wire from the distribution block - 2.5 mm hex key.
- Free the heater cable from the channels. Open the horizontal plastic cable channel and the adjacent section of the vertical cable channel on the right side. Find the zip ties holding the heater cable, cut them with the flush cutters, and pull the cable out.
- Unscrew the heater from the bracket. Back inside the chamber, unscrew the heater from its bracket and take it out, pulling the cable with it.
- Transfer the temperature sensor. The chamber heater temperature sensor is fastened with a single PH1 screw. Unscrew it from the old heater and screw it onto the new one. If your new heater arrives with the sensor pre-installed, skip this step - confirm with support what your set includes.
- Install the new 220V heater. Screw the new heater onto the bracket, route its cable along the same path through the vertical and horizontal channels, and secure it with new zip ties where the old ones were.
- Reconnect the wires. Attach one wire to the chamber heater relay and the other to the distribution block, following your photos. Tighten the terminals firmly.
- Reinstall the stainless steel cover with its four screws and close the cable channels.
Replacing the Bed Heater
- Disconnect the bed cables at the rear. Open the cable channels the bed cables run through and disconnect three cables: the bed heater cable, the ground cable, and the temperature sensor cable. Follow each cable from the bed to its end to find the right terminals - photograph and label everything before disconnecting. You will need the PH2 screwdriver for the distribution block and the 2.5 mm hex key.
- Detach the cable channel from the bed. Inside the printer, disconnect the bed cable channel from the rear bed holder and from the cable channel holder on the rear wall. The end section has a latch: open it and the section comes free of both holders.
- Remove the bed. Unscrew the three screws fixing the bed and take the bed out of the printer, feeding the cables through as you go.
- Swap the assembly or the heater. If you have a complete 220V bed assembly, install it and skip to step 6. Otherwise, disassemble the bed to swap the heater inside.
- Disassemble the bed and replace the heater. Unscrew the five screws holding the bed together - one in each corner and one in the center - with the 2 mm hex key, holding the nuts with the 5.5 mm wrench. Inside, under the insulation wool, sits the single heater. Pull the old heater's cable out of the cable channel, put the new 220V heater in its place, route its cable through the channel, and reassemble the bed in reverse order.
- Install the bed. Fasten the bed with its three fixing screws, reattach the cable channel to the rear bed holder and the rear wall holder, and close the latch on the end section.
- Reconnect the cables. Attach the heater cable, the ground cable, and the temperature sensor cable to their terminals, following your photos. Close all the cable channels.
Switching the PSU to 220V
- In the rear electronics bay, find the voltage selector switch on the right side wall of the 24V PSU. It has two positions, marked 115 and 230 - these are the PSU's labels for the 110V and 220V mains ranges.
- Flip the switch to 230.
Double-check the switch position
Powering the printer from a 220V outlet with the switch still on 115 can destroy the power supply. Verify the switch reads 230 before plugging in.
Verification
- Double-check all terminal connections against your reference photos and make sure the PSU switch is set to 230.
- Close the rear electronics bay, plug the printer into the 220V outlet, and power it on. The printer should boot normally.
- In the Web Interface, set a bed temperature and confirm the bed heats up and holds it.
- Set a chamber temperature and confirm the chamber heater works and the temperature reading responds.
