Slicer Setup
This guide installs PrusaSlicer with the Vision Miner profile library for the Vision Miner 22IDEX - every printer mode, print profile, and filament, with build-plate previews and the printer connection already wired up.

You need:
- Windows, macOS, or Linux PC with admin rights to install software.
- A network path to the printer: the PC must be on the same LAN as the printer (or on the printer AP) so the Physical Printer connection test succeeds. See Network Troubleshooting or WiFi Setup if you cannot reach the machine.
New installation model - Configuration Assistant manages everything
The profile library ships as an offline vendor archive loaded through the Configuration Assistant. Build-plate models, textures, printer profiles, and filaments all come preconfigured in the single ZIP file. The Configuration Assistant also handles resetting old configurations - no manual folder deletion required.
1. Download PrusaSlicer

2. Download Vision Miner profiles
Download the vendor archive (version 5.0.0) and save it to a folder you can find - you load it in the interactive walkthrough below.

Do not unpack the .zip - PrusaSlicer loads the archive as-is in the wizard.
Interactive walkthrough
Pick your situation below and step through it with screenshots. Choose First-time install if you have never installed Vision Miner profiles, or Update existing to reset old profiles first. The last option imports the Physical Printer .ini.
Updating from an older setup deletes your current profiles
If you take the Update existing path, the reset step removes your existing Vision Miner profiles and configuration before installing the new library. Any manual changes you made to those profiles will be lost - back them up first if you need them.
Connect the Printer to PrusaSlicer
Once the profiles are installed, tell PrusaSlicer how to reach your printer so you can send prints and open the printer's web interface without leaving the slicer. This is the Physical Printer connection.
The printer must be powered on and on the same network
The connection test only succeeds if the printer is turned on and reachable on the same network (your LAN or the printer's AP) as your computer. If the printer is off, the test will fail.

Manual cleanup when printer profiles don't appear
If you finished installing or updating the new configuration but no Vision Miner / 22 IDEX printers are available to select, an old configuration or cache is still in the way. Close PrusaSlicer fully, then delete the leftover cache and user files manually.
This permanently deletes your existing PrusaSlicer profiles
The steps below remove your filament, print, printer, and Physical Printer profiles along with the cached Vision Miner data. Any custom changes you made to these profiles will be lost.

After deleting everything, reopen PrusaSlicer and run the Configuration Assistant again to install the Vision Miner profiles.
